Our Mission
Our mission at Pro Therapy is to give people back their sense of freedom when it comes to all things mobility and movement. The sense of frustration with any chronic pain or injury can make us lose our personality and love for our sports, hobbies and profession.

We believe that hands on treatments are key to reducing pain levels, increasing self esteem and confidence, along with giving the body a better chance to regain function in key areas in the body. Specific and targeted strength and conditioning programs are tailored to each individuals needs.

Our detailed home care advice and exercise programs are all recorded in clinic and sent to the client, which provides a more accessible and detailed approach to each exercise and home care advice.

The Journey
Pro Therapy opened its doors in 2018, however the idea was birthed in the years previous when James experienced a turbulent time with chronic pain and injury which has given him the tools and knowledge to treat people with their injuries

From International underage call ups and a spell in the League of Ireland with Sligo Rovers at youth level and Bray wanderers and Athlone Town at Senior level, James has since turned his attention to a career committed to helping people with all sorts of pain and injuries

He has vital experience working with the FAI in recent years along with being named as head of sports injuries with the Mayo Airtricity league underage set up

He has also worked with the Australian Rugby Team in 2022, providing soft tissue treatments to the wallabies during their stay in Ireland

James further strengthened his clinical expertise during almost three years working as Head of Medical at Sligo Rovers Football Club, where he was responsible for the prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation of injuries across elite football environments. This role demanded a high-performance, evidence-based approach, managing player availability across long competitive seasons while working closely with coaching staff to optimise performance and recovery. His time at Sligo Rovers was pivotal in refining his hands-on treatment style, return-to-play protocols, and understanding of athlete care at professional level.

The Pro Therapy clientele has now progressed to treating not just sportsmen and women, but every profession from chefs and nurses to builders and hairdressers
His unique approach has garnered attention in recent times for its attention to detail, evidence based exercises and hands on approach
